I get it. Injuries can change everything; altering your identity, relationships, and job performance, even restricting your ability to enjoy your favourite hobbies. I’ve been there. That’s what inspired me to study rehabilitative exercise, sport psychology and the neuroplasticity of pain. I know the power of this decision you’re making right now and I want to help you figure out what works for you. Whether you’re dealing with acute injury, chronic pain, or other health conditions, movement is medicine for the mind and body. I offer exercise therapy, facilitated stretch and soft tissue release. Let’s discover what resonates best with you, working with your natural strengths and interests. I want you to feel empowered, not only by having fun with exercise, but also through gaining self-management strategies. Let me support you towards improved health, fitness, injury recovery and pain management.
I grew up on Vancouver Island and have enjoyed international travel. I worked my way through college and university as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor and yoga teacher. I graduated with honors, holding a Bachelor of Human Kinetics from Trinity Western University in 2013. After several years practicing as a clinical Kinesiologist, I studied Pain Management through the University of Alberta, Faculty of Rehab Medicine, and I completed my graduate certificate in 2018. I also have 200 hours of yoga teacher training, specialized course-work in health and aging, athletic injuries and postpartum fitness. I am a mom of two, a marathon runner and an ever-learning health enthusiast. When I’m not running with my husband, I enjoy hiking mountains, standing on my head and exploring the cycling paths of Kelowna. What activities do you want to do, improve, or get back to?
